This is for Uncle Robby.

Mikey got a job and we moved.
About two months ago.
We've been pretty busy settling in...but that's no excuse.
I've mainly been lazy at this blog thing.

So here goes a looong catch up.

Folding his arms for dinner prayer.
As you can see we are still working on waiting until after prayers to begin eating.
One thing at a time.

Daddy giving Mabes his first haircut.

Helping Momma assemble the new bike trailer/ jogging stroller.
(This was accomplished without Daddy's help, Momma was pretty excited about that.)

Annual Cress Creek hike/picnic.

The Easter Bunny left Mabes a trail of candy filled eggs for him to follow when he woke up on Saturday.
(We do the commercial part of Easter the day before.)

He was pretty excited about his gifts.

Daddy decided to let Mabes try to feed himself yogurt.
I'd say it was pretty successful.

My boy knows how to get what he wants.
Used the stroller to reach the light switch.
And then flipped it to his hearts content.

Spent Memorial Day weekend visiting my brother's family and exploring Seattle.

Watching his big girl cousins build sailboats at a festival in downtown Seattle.

He was too exited that his cousins were visiting to look at the camera.

Momma wasn't feeling well and so Mabes got to have McDonalds for dinner.
Momma and Daddy are pretty strict with this boy's junk food intake so he was pretty stoked.

Mabin looks just like Mikey when he was a little boy in this photo.

Mabin's hair is really curly when it's wet.
I got my dimpled, blue-eyed, blonde and curly haired baby.

There was a week where it was unbearably hot.
Mabin's sleeping positions were pretty funny during that time.

Lincoln City beach.
The weather was perfect and Mabin could have spent the entire day there.
The ocean was too cold and loud for him but he was in heaven when Daddy made him his own pool away from the waves.

4th of July

Mabes had just woken up from a very short nap after two days of no naps.
He wasn't as excited about watching the parade as we thought he would be.

He woke up and was very excited later that night, just in time for fireworks.

Yep, those are Halloween pjs.

I love these boys so much.
It melts my heart to see how much they adore each other.

He finally sat still once the fireworks started.

This little boy loves bats and balls.

And cars and trucks.
He's all boy.

Celebrating Aunt Sara and Aunt Jessica's birthdays at an awesome lake near Vancouver.

This boy was fearless in the water.
I had about 50 heart attacks.

Mabin is so cute with his baby cousin Oren.
His voice is so soft and sweet when he talks to him.
(Oren had a pretty good grip on Mabin's leg when I snapped this shot, hence Mabin's face.)

spring, spring, spring!

Because he is so cute in his jammies.

Daddy brought home "fizzing" bath tablets that change the color of the water and bath bubbles for the Mabes.
If Mabes thought bath time was awesome before he's completely crazy about it now.

His serious face because Uncle Robby is heading overseas.
We're gonna miss you Robby!

To say Mabin LOVES being outside, is a major understatement.
No matter what the temperature, that kid wants out.

His hands would be freezing from the soggy ground and the snow patches he would find but he would throw a royal conniption if I tried to bring him in to warm up.
Good thing I put him in his grungy clothes.
He was filthy.
I love little boys that love to get dirty.
That's what being a boy is all about.

He mastered stairs while we were outside one day.
We don't have any in our apartment so I was a little worried when he discovered them.

His new favorite place is the park.
We had a looong FHE out there yesterday.
Didn't come home until it was getting dark and our cute little boy still wanted to play outside.
So, we let him play in the back yard until it was dark and he cried and cried when we forced him inside until we distracted him with a bubble bath.

Mabin's favorite parts of our Sunday walks were the animals.
He was ecstatic when we were petting this horse.

Copper watched Mabin eat his apple.
No, I don't regularly give my one year old whole apples to gnaw on.

Jan. 24, 2013

I was watching him very close, he didn't choke or anything.

His adorable stocking cap that was a birthday gift from Casey and David.
Oh and his baseball bat that he has to have when we're in the car.

His favorite activity is to take the lid off the ottoman and pull out all of the TV and Wii remotes.

Our baby boy looooves spaghetti and meatballs.
We've learned to get him naked while he eats anything that stains, he gets food everywhere.

He is such a joy.

It's my birthday! Shout HOORAY!

20.1 lbs
29.8 in
Well folks, we made it to a year!
No major injuries, a few sicknesses and bumps, nothing to complain about.
Although I did just get over having a fever for a few days.
Can't say that that's been my favorite part of this year.

Some of my favorite things:
Clapping when Momma and Daddy say "Yay!"
Waving both of my hands. Bye byes are a blast now.
Saying uh-oh when I drop things. Which I do quite often from my highchair.
Pulling myself up on our futon and ottoman. They are the perfect height.
My favorite mode of transportation is now the bum scoot.
Which is probably because I've learned to get into a sitting position on my own, finally.
Laying on top of Momma and Daddy and wrestling.
Pointing to things I want.
Momma and Daddy figured out pretty quickly what I meant when I started pointing.
I also enjoy wagging my finger back and forth for no-no.

While in DC I woke up one morning and thought I had gone blind, but no no, my eyes were just sealed shut from having pink eye.
That wasn't very fun but I didn't let it ruin my vacation.

Oh and Momma wanted me to mention that I've started sleeping through the night, against my own will, I might add.
She said that's been her favorite thing this month.

I'm 11 months old!

With the hustle and bustle of Momma and Daddy graduating and then all of us immediately heading to Virginia, we didn't get an M&M photograph.

I loved Christmas morning so here's a photo from it.

LOTS of stuff happened this month.

We had Thanksgiving in Oregon.
My favorite part was playing in the dirt at Uncle Tice's.
Dirt and leaves are pretty tastey.
I was spoiled by my girl Waite cousins which made coming home with just Momma and Daddy not so fun.

I helped Daddy set up our Christmas tree and then promptly pulled it down on top of me.
It scared me straight and I decided to leave it alone.

 Christmas was in Virginia.
Flying was fun, especially since all the other passengers thought I was adorable.
Once again I got spoiled by my girl cousins.
I loved their toys and the nonstop attention I received.
When I was visiting Cousin Anika I made her cry, which made me cry and now we just cry at each other.
It works for us.

Other news:
My second bottom tooth is coming in, now I can really gnaw on things.
I like drinking out of grown-up cups, sippy cups are for fools.
I'll eat pretty much anything and I like to feed myself.
My favorite snack is Veggie Straws.
So delicious.
A big shout out to Aunt Erin for introducing them to me.

I love to play with Copper. He's my puppy friend.

I'm 10 months old!

Mom always says better late than never.
So here's to catching up.

Daddy was sick so I didn't get to dress up as a bum for Halloween.
I wasn't really bugged because we had lots of fun staying in our warm apartment together.

Because Daddy was sick he had to go to the hospital for a few days.
I had fun exploring the hospital while Daddy was there.
The nurses were so nice to me and I got lots of attention.

I'm getting my first tooth!
It feels so cool to slide my tongue back and forth over it.
I've tried biting Momma and Daddy but they don't seem to enjoy it as much as I do.

I love to give kisses to Momma and Daddy.
Open mouth ones are the best and the only kind I will give.

I understand sign language better than I can do it.
Although I am getting pretty good at signing "more!"
Better than nothin' right?

I've also started saying "Momma".
Mom freaks out when I do, I think she kinda likes it.
